TOLEDO, Ohio, Nov. 4, 2026. Air Supply has outlasted every trend that followed "All Out of Love." Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell still tour every year. Their shows at mid-size venues such as the Rose Music Center outside Dayton keep drawing fans who first heard the songs on AM radio. In Ohio, that legacy-act audience has a clear favorite type of room: a restored theatre with good sound and seats close to the stage.
In Toledo, that is the Valentine Theatre at 410 Adams St. It is an 1895 house with about 900 seats, restored in 1999. For classic pop and rock nights it has two advantages over an arena. Vocals carry without much amplification, and no seat is more than a short walk from the stage.
Classic hits on the Valentine calendar
The next big night for that crowd is Classic Seger on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2027, at 8 p.m. It is a full-band tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, a natural fit for a city 60 miles from Seger's Detroit. Richard Thomas follows on March 30 with Mark Twain Tonight!, and the family musical Clifford the Big Red Dog plays Nov. 15.
The Valentine also hosts local headliners. This week it holds the University of Toledo Rocket Marching Band's annual "Sounds of the Stadium" concert on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m., as announced by UToledo News.
Seating at the Valentine is laid out for listening. The main floor rises gently toward the back, and the balconies sit close enough to the stage that the band's faces are easy to read. For a soft-rock night, the middle of the main floor is the sweet spot for sound. The theatre is a short walk from downtown hotels and restaurants, so out-of-town fans can make a full evening of it without moving the car.
For fans who drive to Dayton or Detroit for soft-rock tours, the Valentine is the one to watch for routing announcements. Current dates and seat maps are on the Valentine Theatre ticket page.
